The Summer of Love Experience: de Young Museum - San Francisco
First word that comes to mind: GROOVY.
The Summer of Love Experience at the de Young Museum managed to psychedelically teleport me back to the year of 1967, when bell bottoms blossomed and free love was the anthem shouted from every treetop. This exhibition not only included iconic rock posters, photographs, hand painted and crocheted clothing and other significant cultural ephemera but also contained interactive light and sound rooms that truly made me feel like a hippie at heart. What a fantastic way to celebrate such an incredible time of self-exploration, expansion, and community. The Haight-Ashbury never looked so good!
